Scope of Practice . . .


Estate Planning - Assistance in planning small and large estates. Creation and establishment of custom wills, revocable and irrevocable living trusts, durable and health care powers of attorney, guardianships, conservatorships, and administration of probate and trust estates.

Business & Corporate - General business law, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, buy/sell agreements, leases, employment issues, and more.

Public Law and Municipal Corporations - Representation of political subdivisions of the State of South Dakota including townships, towns, cities and counties.

Zoning and Land Use Planning - Review of development plans for compliance with local zoning ordinances and regulations. Representation before planning and zoning boards relative to conditional use permits, variances, and other land use regulatory matters.

Real Estate - Assistance in buying, selling and leasing real estate, title examinations, obtaining title insurance, and real estate closings. Assistance in real estate tax assessment appeals.

Family - Limited to antenuptial and post-marital agreements, adoptions and guardianships for minor children.

Criminal - Representation of defendants at all stages of prosecution, including appeals, for cases arising outside of Davison County.


Litigation - Representation of parties in state and federal courts. Personal injuries, contract disputes, administrative hearings, and general litigation including appeals.
